Man, you weigh a freaking ton, " he told me. "What've you been eating, rocks?" "Why, is your head missing some?" I croaked. His mouth almost quirked in a smile, and that's when I knew how upset he'd been

About This Quote

The funny thing about this quote is not the line of dialogue. It is rather the punchline. The punchline is that I am a freaking ton of rocks. What have I been eating? Rocks! You wouldn't believe how much I've been eating. The first time I heard this story it totally didn't make sense.

But the second time, I finally got it. This is an example of an inside joke that only my friends know about me. Every once in a while, they will just randomly say that to me and then laugh their heads off at my expense.
